Frequently Asked Questions

At ChiroFit, we understand that starting any form of treatment can come with questions. Whether you're curious about what our Jersey-based Chiropractor can treat, how often you’ll need to come, or what to expect on your first visit, we’ve got you covered.

If you have a question that I haven’t answered below, let me know! DM me on Instagram, send me an email or give me a call and I will do my best to answer you.

  • Using our integrated booking system! Follow the Book Now buttons which should take you straight there. Alternatively, give me a call on 07794479792 or email felicity@chirofit.je

  • Yes, adjustments (or manipulations) can be used as a part of Chiropractic rehabilitation. It’s usually combined with other techniques, such as exercises, to give you the best results.

  • Great question! Chiropractic has a really broad spectrum of practice styles — a bit like how some GPs focus on lifestyle and prevention while others are more prescription-focused. Both are valid, just different approaches.

    At ChiroFit, my focus is on understanding why your problem happened and building a plan to address it long-term. That means your appointments will involve a lot of movement assessment, exercise and practical advice alongside any hands-on treatment.

    If you've seen a chiropractor before and spent most of your appointment on the table being adjusted, ChiroFit will feel quite different. You'll be more involved in your own recovery, which research consistently shows leads to better long-term outcomes.

    That said, manipulation, soft tissue work and dry needling are all still part of what I do, just as tools within a bigger plan, rather than the plan itself.

  • If it’s you first time at ChiroFit, you will need an initial consultation. This is split into 4 parts:

    • a chat about why you have come to visit and your medical history;

    • a physical examination;

    • treatment (when possible)

    • and any referrals or rehabilitative exercises required

  • Yes. However, like any intervention in healthcare, there are a few possible associated risks.

    It all depends on what treatment your Chiropractor is using and what injury or pre-existing conditions you have.

    Chiropractors using an evidence-based approached should adapt their treatment to suit your needs and reduce the possibility of side effects.

    Your Chiropractor should perform a thorough and detail medical history and physical examinations. This informs what treatments are appropriate for your unique case.

  • Comfortable clothes that you can move around in easily. Sports clothing is ideal but we can easily work around most items of clothing.

  • Of course! Your comfort is our priority and you’re welcome to bring a friend or family member with you should you wish. We ask that you limit it to one additional person as space is limited.

  • Absolutely! If you are pregnant, we ask that you let your practitioner know as soon as possible as it may change your care plan and eligibility for certain treatment techniques.

  • Sometimes we may require a piece of clothing to be removed to have a better look at an area of injury. This will only be done with your explicit consent.

  • We work with many health insurance companies such as AXA, Aviva, WPA and more.

    We do not work with BUPA UK.

    If you would like to claim your appointments on your health insurance, we ask that you pay ChiroFit directly and we will provide you with an invoice to send to your insurance company.
